My name is Simon Jousef and I am the head trader and trading educator for TTI or The Trader Institute. I provide day trading signals, market analysis and education. I held my first public class in a classroom-style environment in 2004 but by 2010 I had to switch to online conferencing due to global demand.
I focus my education and training on the core of what moves the markets. We all know it’s about buying and selling so volume or volume pressure is key to understanding the markets.
The market makers are the ones who control the moves. And with my dynamic, math-based indicators and system you can see the moves ahead of time.
The main objective of TTI was to share my knowledge and expertise and to make a business out of it. It became my passion. It gives me great satisfaction when I see members complimenting my signals.
The education is provided through a few channels, one of which is our private members’ area which contains a list of videos.
There’s also the virtual room which is an online meeting conference that can hold a large number of students. Then we have the messenger app ( Telegram ) for smartphones or computers. This is where all members exchange ideas and receive signals.
Most of my members are people who know how to trade. They know how to use trading software. I don’t teach the basics, you have to how to trade, my job is to teach you how to win.
Because my approach is focused on teaching how to win, and how to recognize the market’s next move ahead of time. And all of this based on the volume of the markets. There is nothing random!
I think I have over 1000 members that have gone through my courses. Most of them are on my email list for newsletters, etc. All members have access to the back office and members area also access to ALL 7 Telegram channels, All indicators, the live trading room, access to each other and access to me via private messaging, email or personal phone.

In 2020, I settled a 4-year civil (i.e. non-criminal) case with the CFTC.
Their review began around a technicality because I had overlooked updating the corporation name on my CTA license, which I had since 2007. The case then expanded to the wording on my old website and the non-inclusion of proper disclosures. The CFTC limited the scope of their inquiry to the period from July 2014 to December 2015.
I have been trading and teaching students for 18 years, and the period from July 2014 to December 2015 (when I operated under the brand name “Global Trade Room”) was the only time in my career I took on trading partners as part of my service. Decisions my partners made (such as how they ran the service) helped impair my dealings with the CFTC.
The CFTC never questioned my trading method or the services to students. Nor did I take money from investors, which is what typically occurs when the CFTC investigates. Furthermore, the CFTC did not question The Trader Institute, which has been operating successfully since 2016. During the CFTC investigation, I could trade and educate students. The settlement allows me to continue trading and to educate students. In short, my trading and education of students was never an issue.
The CFTC first approached me in August 2016. I made several errors in handling their initial correspondence. Firstly, I delayed in responding and, secondly, I did not seek adequate counsel early in the process. As I had never taken money from investors nor traded accounts for other individuals, I did not believe the initial CFTC letter was a significant issue. However, non-response in itself is considered problematic by the CFTC. It allowed the review to escalate to court and reduce my options to negotiate a more favorable outcome. In 2020, I chose to settle with the CFTC and close this chapter of my life so I could move forward.
Everybody will claim to be a person of integrity. Although I acted in good faith, I did act erroneously, and I learned many lessons from this experience.
I am proud of the service I operate for new and aspiring traders. Ultimately, The Trader Institute exists for my students, and I would not continue to function if I do not deliver value. My mission is to give traders the best available service and education to bring them to profitability, pure and simple. This mission, or my ability to execute it, was never in question by the CFTC.
This statement is not an implication that the CFTC complaint or the Consent Order was without merit. I do not dispute the resolution. I value the CFTC’s oversight, and without regulatory bodies such as the CFTC, members of the public would not receive protection from unscrupulous individuals.

When you do have days like today just remember what you have done for hundreds of people In the chat room i said: “If it makes you feel better I took 3 trades today and all were profitable. All because of your teachings.” I have been with you for over a year now and it took me a good 4-6 months to understand 90% of the system (rejections and bang bang). This summer I have watched all the videos again and have been in the room everyday and have finally got the last 10% which is the pinpoint accuracy it takes for trade entries and stops. I see every trade now. It took me awhile to finally be able to trade on my own without the room but I think after this summer I can finally do that. Thanks again and even after being in the room for a year I still get something out of the videos. As an educator myself I always tell me students you get 10-15% of the info every time you watch a lecture. So you need to watch the same lecture 7-10 times before you really grasp all the concepts.

I appreciate the fact that Simon is patient in protecting our money and his calls are very accurate. He looks first for a reasonable stop area before entering a trade and many of his calls go along way beyond the first target so the risk/reward is excellent. Simon,I just wanted to say thanks a lot for yesterday’s training session – it was extremely helpful! After your explanations and the Q&A, something finally just clicked and I got it. I was up until 3 am last night studying volume profile (partially because there was a huge car bomb that detonated a few blocks from the embassy in Kabul at 1 am).
Anyways, it was pretty amazing to see and understand the reactions of price at the various levels today – before I would try to mirror the trades based on your calls. Today I finally understood why the trades were being called out, and was able to anticipate the levels before they were called out – extremely satisfying.
I made 30 ticks trading a single contract (trying the technique you discussed yesterday), and it was probably the most relaxing trading day I have ever had understanding where price should react and why as well as where to place smart stops behind high volume nodes.
I should be able to make it into the trading room on a much more regular basis now as at the end of the work day here, it is around 8:30 am in NY. I’ll touch base with you next week to buy the price magnet, DRLs, etc., as I would like to have the full picture of what you, Simon are seeing in the markets. Have a great birthday weekend! Our methodology (A.C.E.) can be used in any market. Currently, we focus specifically on teaching the Futures Market. Trading can be subjective!
